Please read these terms carefully before using News.gg services. By using our platform, you agree to these terms.
1. Introduction
Welcome to News.gg. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and Discord bot services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Discord Message Non-Storage & Privacy Guarantee
News.gg operates under a strict Zero Message Storage Guarantee:
- No Chat Storage or Logging: News.gg does not record, log, monitor, or store any Discord user messages or server chat logs.
- Ephemeral Real-Time Processing: When users actively trigger commands or mention
@News.ggto ask news or market questions, message text is processed strictly in transient memory solely to deliver an immediate response. - Zero Data Archival: No user messages or conversation histories are ever written to disks, databases, or external storage.
3. News Content
News.gg provides news content from various sources. We do not create the news content ourselves, but rather aggregate it from publicly available sources. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the news content provided.
Content Warning: Our news aggregation service may include content that is intended for mature audiences (18+). This may include discussions of violence, adult themes, political content, or other material that may not be suitable for all users. User discretion is advised when accessing news content through our platform.
3. RSS Feeds and Analytics
When you configure RSS feeds through our service, we collect and process content from these feeds to provide enhanced features and services. This includes but is not limited to:
- Content Analysis: We analyze article titles, descriptions, and metadata to generate trivia questions and educational content
- Data Storage: RSS feed content is stored in our analytics database for service improvement and feature development
- Trend Analysis: We use aggregated data to identify trending topics and improve content recommendations
- Quality Enhancement: Analytics help us improve the accuracy and relevance of our news aggregation services
By using our RSS feed features, you acknowledge and agree to this data collection and processing. All data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and is used solely for service enhancement purposes.
4. Public Surveys and Testimonials
We may occasionally invite eligible users to participate in public surveys to gather feedback about their experience with News.gg. Participation is entirely voluntary. By submitting a response, you agree that we may collect and store:
- Your Discord username and email address (if provided)
- Your chosen star rating and text feedback
- Your current subscription plan
If your feedback is selected, we may display it publicly on our website as a testimonial. You may request the removal of your public testimonial at any time by contacting support.
5. User Responsibility
Users are responsible for their use of our services. You agree not to use our services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not attempt to disrupt or compromise the security of our services.
5. Service Changes
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, our services with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of our services.
6. Premium Plans
News.gg offers premium plans with additional features. By subscribing to a premium plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees. We reserve the right to change our fees at any time. No refunds will be issued for partial subscription periods.
⚠️Subscription Cancellation
Important: Once you cancel your subscription, you will immediately lose access to all premium features and benefits. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period, after which all premium functionality will be disabled. This includes but is not limited to:
- Premium Discord bot commands and features
- Advanced news filtering and customization
- Priority support access
- Trader Pro analytics and tools (if applicable)
- Any other premium-exclusive features
💡 Note: Cancellation is immediate and irreversible. Consider downgrading instead of cancelling if you want to retain some features.
📄Payment Records
For your convenience and our records, we maintain copies of all payment transactions for your subscriptions. You will receive official payment receipts from our payment processor for your records.
- Detailed subscription information and billing history
- Plan features and pricing breakdown
- Payment confirmation and transaction details
🔒 Secure Storage: Your payment records are securely stored and can be provided upon request for your accounting or tax purposes.
7. Billing and Payment Terms
All subscription payments are processed securely through Dodo Payments. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the selected plan at the specified billing interval.
Payment Receipts
You will receive an official receipt for each payment from our payment processor. These receipts serve as your proof of payment and contain all necessary transaction details for your records.
Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.
8. Translations
News.gg may provide translations of news content. These translations are provided as-is and may not be entirely accurate. We are not responsible for any inaccuracies in the translations.
9. Advertisements
Our services may display advertisements. These advertisements are not endorsed by News.gg, and we are not responsible for the content of these advertisements.
10. Disclaimer
Our services are provided "as is" without any warranties, expressed or implied. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall News.gg be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Direct Message (DM) Error Notification Terms
By opting into Direct Message (DM) Notifications (during onboarding or via your Account Settings), you grant News.gg permission to send automated Discord Direct Messages to your user account regarding bot operational status, missing channel permissions, delivery failures, or critical configuration warnings for Discord servers you manage.
DM notifications are designed to help server owners maintain uninterrupted news feed delivery. You may opt out of or re-enable DM error alerts at any time through your Account Settings at /dashboard/me.
